We're home :)
We had a wonderful trip to Kauai with our family. A week of sunning ourselves (with SPF 50 mind you!), swimming until we were wrinkly and catching up on family time that we've sorely missed since we've been knee deep in a remodel all summer. Scott and Beth's wedding was gorgeous, set at the Beach House in Poipu, the waves lapping and surfers in the background--it was just immediate family and it was intimate and so very special. 16 people. It was so surreal to watch my baby brother get married, and to such a great girl (not that I expected any less of him). Moments after they kissed, the rain came--like clockwork. Not a drop fell before the wedding. We all waited in the restaurant for rain to clear so we could take our family photos. Beth's family hosted an amazing reception dinner at the Beach House and the menu was chalk full of deliciousness. I had the macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi for my entree...mmmm. So beautiful! What a perfect way to tie the knot—in paradise with the people you love. Your kiddos continue to impress. I can't believe how brave and aquatic Ashen is, and Torin just emanates joy.
