Supplies Needed at Care Center

As promised, here's a list of the things that are regularly needed at the care center where Ashen is staying until his mommy and daddy (that's us!) can pick him up. We will be happy to carry over whatever is donated. If we reach our luggage limit, we can send the extras to our agency in Minnesota and they can send them with another family who will be traveling. The list is quite basic and centered around infection control since there are many kids there now and keeping them healthy is their #1 priority.

From CHSFS:
"Among those items frequently on the needs list, medical latex rubber gloves, disposable diapers and skin ointments are greatly appreciated. The medical staff has made infection control and prevention a number one priority; for which we have started using disposable diapers, topical ointments (preventively), and rubber gloves in much greater volume. While disposable diapers are able to be purchased in Ethiopia, the supply is not reliable, especially in the quantities needed. We currently have over 140 children in care, and over 175 staff. In addition, U.S brands of disposable diapers are more durable, arguably, slightly reducing the frequency of diaper changes. As far as other needed items are concerned, gel hand-sanitizer (Purell) is not available at all in Ethiopia; nor are diaper wipes as readily available."

Also, I know that the babies have very few toys. So any small toys like this would be great.
