Okay, random question: how did you get A to drink out of a glass? D's therapist wants him to work on it, but he absolutely refuses. I am out of ideas. We have tried modeling it for him, but to no avail. Any tips?
Hmmmmmm...Christina, I honestly don't know. He's always liked drinking out of a glass--probably because that's how he drank formula in Ethiopia (assuming D did too...but obviously they weren't the ones holding the cups). No teaching going on here. I have a couple ideas: What's his absolute favorite drink that he doesn't get much? Try that in a glass. Or--only give him liquid in a glass and soon he'll drink it (I'd think) because he's super thirsty!!
